The Huawei Mate 8 is likely set to be unveiled by the end of November with a recently published invite for a special event which will be held on November 26.

The phablet was originally rumored to be making its debut this Nov. 5 but it seems that all that has been doused with the month-end event.

So with the release date practically settled, Huawei stands to be another high-end phablet that should join another existing player in the company’s product roster, the Huawei Mate S.

Though its expected release is still weeks away, the pricing for the said device has already made its way out in the open.

Word has it that the Huawei Mate 8 will be available in two variants – a 32 GB variant which will be complimented with 3 GB of RAM as well as a 64 GB version that carries 4 GB of RAM.

Pricing for the 32 GB version is reportedly set at $520 while the higher 64 GB variant costs a expectedly a bit more at $610. While the pricing leaks need to be confirmed, previously leaked specs somehow justify why the Huawei Mate 8 phablet/s pricing may be a bit steep.

But then again, the Huawei Mate line has always been known to carry such a stiff price so such a price range shouldn’t be all that surprising.

For those who are not aware, the specs of the said Huawei phablet include a 6-inch 1080p display (1920x1080), something that would run on an octa-core Hi-Silicon Kirin 950 SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz, a 16 MP main camera, an 8 MP front-facing camera.

It seems that the Huawei Mate 8 will also come with a dual SIM slot, a feature that some folks consider important especially if they have multiple lines on their end. While the internal storage variants mentioned earlier seem to be more than enough, the device offers more options with a microSD card support also present.

The device is believed to be coming out with Android 6.0 Marshmallow installed, something that could make sense since Huawei is also behind the much delayed Google Nexus 6P.

Now aside from those specs, the device will also include the latest security feature most phones have today, a fingerprint security scanner which will be positioned at the back of the said tablet which incidentally is believed to be clad in an aluminum shell.

For now these are the rumors tied up with the anticipated coming of the Huawei Mate 8 though it would not be surprising to see a few more leaks crop up soon.
