Tarahumara racers Mateo González Bautista and Silvino Cubésare Químare obtained second and thrid place respectively, during the first World Indigenous Games.The first place went to the Canadá contestant in the category of 10K meters.
The games are were held in Brazil and indigenous people of at least 28 countries are participating.The Closing Ceremony was celebrated yesterday,
Mexican delegation was conformed by at least 50 athletes from different regions of the country, 11 of them from Chihuahua.
During the games, there were some cultural activities such as dances, fairs and craft exhibitions. Mexican athletes did the "Danza Pascol", a typical dance in Chihuahua, which was joined by traditional music played with violins.
The next edition of the games will take place in Canada in 2017.
