Halloween is one more opportunity for celebrities to dress up, albeit not exaxtly to the nines, but pretty much that where the occasion allows. And that means a scary look or one that is of another character not them. Well, except if you're Kim Kardashian, who went to party as herself.
Heidi Klum
One of the biggest and most anticipated Halloween shindigs in tinseltown, although held in New York, is that of supermodel Heidi Klum, who herself is known for going the extra mile when it comes to bringing fictional, sometimes scary, characters to life. And this year, she did not disappoint - she made entertainment news headlines with her brow-raising, eye-popping Jessica Rabbit costume. And, yes, that means she's on top of this 2015 Halloween costume standout list.
Apparently, based on the "Project Runway's" Instagram posts, the transformation took a lot of work, a lot of hours, and a lot of patience.
"Klum reveals that she spent a whopping nine hours transforming herself into the sultry cartoon character," MailOnline noted. "The collection of photos show how a team of specialist make-up artists painstakingly added layer upon layer of prosthetic face and body enhancements to perfectly create the Roger Rabbit star's curvaceous physique."
Thanks to a rubber mask molded to mimic Jessica Rabbit's features, Klum "had very large lips and eyebrows worn very high."
"Her shadow was purple and her lashes were inches long," the publication went on to say.
Needless to say, the effort apparently paid off.
Beyonce
About a week before Halloween, Bey attended a party dressed as X-Men's Storm, and got fans of the Marvel comic character buzzing. Her version, as noted by News.com.au, raised the bar for those wanting to cosplay to life. Her look was so perfect she could have been cast for the movie adaptation and nail the part flawlessly. Check out her look here.
Neil Patrick Harris
NPH as Obi-Wan Kenobi wowed fans with a "Star Wars" ensemble that included his partner and his children, who were dressed as Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. See the evidence here.
Tyra Banks
Klum won't have to worry about passing on the torch as Halloween Queen as "America's Next Top Model" host and producer Tyra Banks is set to follow her footsteps, as shown by her eye-catching attempt at becoming billionaire Richard Branson. See the photo here.
Nicole Richie
Another celebrity who decided to impersonate a person of the opposite sex this year, Richie opted for "The Night Before Christmas'" Jack Skellington. Come to think of it, does her look remind you of Heath Ledger's The Joker or what?
The Rock
Dwayne Johnson as Popeye is perfection. Who else can pull off that big, muscly arm look without prosthetics or artificial enhancement?
Katy Perry
The "Roar" singer was not content to dress as a microphone - she completed the look by falling on the floor so she literally is dressed as a mic drop.
