Earlier this week the World's Hottest Drug Lord, as Maxim would have it, was captured in Mexico. The gorgeous cocaine smuggler also goes by "La Muñeca," which means "The Doll," when she is not using her government name, Ana Marie Hernandez.
The 38-year old held one of the top ranks in drug kingpin El Chapo's cartel. She is wanted in the U.S. for smuggling cocaine over the El Paso border with her ex-husband. The drugs were then distributed to Chicago, St. Louis and Panama City, Florida. She was captured by Mexican authorities in Chihuahua and is expected to be extradited to the U.S.
When running a drug ring one would expect a smuggler to lay low, and while that may be true for some, GQ discovered a few Instagram pages that say otherwise.
Suspected cartel leaders pose with artillery, luxurious cars, and exotic animals. To be honest, how else were they going to show off lavish lifestyle? As mySA.com reports, Instagram may have been doing some suspending, as the incriminating pages have since been taken down. But thanks to the internet, the photos live on.
Take a peek into the excessive lives of "La Muñeca" and other cartel members.
