LG has benefitted a lot from the LG G Flex 2, a high-end device that came with a curved design and high-end specifications which has become a hit with consumers, particularly the ones looking for classy looking phones.

The display and the design alone accounted for the success of the LG G Flex 2 with perhaps only shortfalls coming from the camera and the battery. Regardless and with those concerns in tow, the next and upcoming device known as the LG G Flex 3 will likely make up for that and even more.

The LG G Flex 3 is expected to take it up a notch, and hopefully the rumors going around are true. That includes a bigger screen to be paired up with a bumped and more powerful processor. Of course, the curved design will still be there with perhaps some changes in aesthetics.

The LG G Flex 3 will reportedly have a bigger display, a 6-inch QHD (2K resolution) screen which should still come with the protective Corning Gorilla Glass 3 or better.

Inside, the processor is expected to get a slight bump as well. From the LG G Flex 2’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, the LG G Flex 3 is expected to get at least a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 which should be more powerful for the said device.

Other possible features include 4GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage with provisions for microSD expansion and some other usual stuff that the LG G Flex 2 carried.

One thing disappointing about the LG G2 was the main 13MP camera. Despite the decent megapixel count and resolution it had, it wasn’t exactly something that people raved about.

With mobile users now equally placing premium on the main camera’s on phones they plan to buy, a 20.7 MP can hopefully do the trick. That is quite a big jump in MP count which hopefully provide users with a device that can take quality photo shots. It will also have a secondary 8 MP front-facing camera for video conference calls and/or the usual trend these days of taking selfies.

Another feature being raved about these days include a fingerprint scanner as well, which seems to be a security feature that many are looking for in light of privacy issues.

The LG G Flex 3 is likely to come out by the first quarter of 2016 though pricing for the LG G Flex 3 has yet to be confirmed. Judging from its list of specs though, the LG G Flex 2 successor’s price could play somewhere along the $500 mark.

While that is up in the air, here is a look back at the LG G2 Flex 2.
