Monday's episode of 'Bones' pushed some of the team members at the Jeffersonian to reevaluate their lives and their life goals. "The But in the Joke," had Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) investigating the remains of a comedian that ended up stuck to the back of an infamous graffiti artist.
While the team did what it does best and solved comedian Morgan Delaney's murder, Angela (Michaela Conlin) was able to work through her artist's funk. After talking with graffiti artist Zed (Jay Paulson), Angela broke free of her mundane white picket fence lifestyle for a bit and performed her own form of rebellion.
In next week's episode, "The Ghost in the Machine," the Jeffersonian team will be investigating the remains of a young boy found in an abandoned greenhouse, FOX teased. The milestone 150th episode will be told in the viewpoint of the young boy, a promo for it reveals.
Cases involving children have always been tough for the group of crime-solving scientists, but this one will particularly difficult for new-mom Brennan. Despite her best efforts to remain neutral and detached, Brennan appears to break down after learning the boy's identity. Cyndi Lauper will guest star as psychic Avalon.
'Bones' S8E9, "The Ghost in the Machine" airs on Monday, December 3 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
