Could Joe Biden finally be announcing his official entry into the run for the Oval Office? Not one, but two sources have told NBC News within the next 48 hours. Biden was expected to possibly announce his candidacy by showing up to the Democratic Presidential Debate hosted by CNN in Las Vegas last week.

Biden was said to be weighing his odds at winning the race while considering the public scrutiny he and his family would endure during the race.

As NBC explains, one major indication he is considering running for the Democratic vote was his conversation with International Association of Fire Fighters President Harold Schaitberger for 20 minutes on Friday. Biden said he was strongly considering running and was trying to gauge the support of unions, a source said.

NBC points out, if Biden in fact decides to run, this would come right "before current front runner, Hillary Clinton, appears before the House committee charged with investigating the Benghazi attacks more than three years ago." Clinton will testify in front of the House and Senate Committees on Foreign Relations in regards to whether her department could have prevented the attack on the U.S consulate on Benghazi, which left four dead.

At this time, Clinton is said to be leading the democratic race. After the Democratic debate Clinton leads with a 45% stand with Bernie Sanders trailing behind at 29%. Although Biden did not make take part in the debate, he came in with an 18% rating reports CNN Politics.

"Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb came in with 1% support rating while former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, Harvard professor Larry Lessig, and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley all held less than 1% support," cites CNN.

Although many are wondering whether Vice President Biden will join the race at all, a CNN poll revealed that most Democratic voters are less "enamored" by his possibly entry into the race. "In August, 53% of registered Democrats said they wanted Biden to run, that's down to 47% in the new poll," explains CNN. Looks like time will tell whether things could change if and when Biden enters the race.
