Fans have seen Renee Zellweger hugging a red iPad in the firt photo that have emerged from the "Bridget Jones's Baby." As previously reported by Latinos Post, the photo shared by Universal Pictures UK, also confirmed that filming of the third movie in the Bridget Jones franchise has officially begun on Oct. 2.
Latinos Post has previously reported that Sharon Maguire is back as director and Colin Firth will be reprising his role as Mark Darcy. The two stars are joined by Patrick Dempsey and Hugh Grant is out as cast. The film will not be the screen adaptation of Helen Fielding's novel "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy" that was released in 2013. The film will actually follow a narrative of events that took place before the events chronicled in the 2013 novel.
Now, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that "Bridget Jones's Baby" is headed in theaters on Sept. 16, 2016. Elsewhere in London, the casts are already been spotted filming and production photos are revealing juicy details on what to expect from the film.
Bridget's BFFs, Shaza and Tom, are still very much present in her life. Zellweger, Sally Philips and James Callis were spotted doing a scene together by the staff of Metro UK. The best friends were having a drinking spree. Pregnant Bridget, however, was only sipping an orange juice while her companions were downing white wine. At one point, Bridget sniffed the glass of wine, probably to quench her thirst for alcohol.
At the end of the second film, "Bridget Jones: the Edge of Reason," Bridget accepted Mark's marriage proposal. However, a related report from Metro UK said Firth was seen filming without wearing a wedding ring. Now to make matters more exciting, Zellweger was spotted filming with a baby bump. In the scene with her is co-star Dempsey.
While everything about the film's plot is being kept tightly sealed under wraps, one particular scene in the film is confirmed to be having a very festive mood -- a celebration of a new baby perhaps. In a related report from Metro UK, bubbleologist Samsam Bubbleman, a Guinness World Record holder, revealed that he was hired by the film's production team. He will be showing off his skills in the film.
"I'm so excited to be filming for Bridget Jones' Baby! I'm heading down to the set in a few weeks, I've not been told what I'll exactly be doing yet, but they said there'll be a festival scene and that their building the site themselves," Bubbleman told Metro UK in an interview.
