"Kingsman: The Secret Service" has been a box office success grossing over $412 million worldwide out of an $81 million budget. Hence, it is very much expected that a sequel for the hit spy-comedy franchise starred by Taron Egerton as Gary "Eggsy" Unwin will be coming.

Now, in new developments, a report by The Hollywood Reporter (THR) has confirmed that the sequel for the movie will start production this spring on April 2016 after settling all the issues between Egerton's project schedules.

According to the report by THR, the actor, Egerton, was placed in a tight situation as to which he should prioritize between the "Robin Hood" movie reboot and the "Kingsman" sequel lined up for him.  However, the dilemma was made even more complicated when "Kingsman" director Matthew Vaughn has "exercised his option" on Egerton which gave the actor no other choice but put the "Kingsman" movie first before any other project.

This situation, nonetheless, left "Robin Hood" in a difficult situation of whether removing Egerton and recasting or moving the filming date to give way for the actor's commitment to the movie that provided him his big break.

As it turned out, the production schedule for "Robin Hood" has been moved at a later date after the "Kingsman" production instead of following the initially scheduled February 2016 filming.

As of present time, there are currently no official plot details or storyline about the upcoming second instalment of "Kingsman." However, a previous report has cited that the character of Colin Firth - Harry Hart - who served as Eggsy's mentor in the first film is being discussed for a return despite already dying in the first film.

In a report Screen Rant, it was cited that the script for "Kingsman 2" is already on the way with Mark Millar, creator of the action comic "The Secret Service" where the film is based, Vaughn and Jane Goldman working on it.

"Kingsman: The Secret Service" is an action-adventure spy 2015 film based on Millar's comic creation. The film was highly lauded for its adult humor and exaggerated violence paired with over-the-top graphics.

The film features Eggsy, a young talent who holds a great potential but was misguided due to the absence of his father. He came in contact with his father's friend and fellow spy Harry Hart who then served as his mentor when he entered the spy agency where Hart and his father worked. Not long after that, Eggsy found himself in a battle to save the world after being caught in the middle of a conspiracy headed by Richmond Valentine played by Samuel Jackson.
