Producers of "American Horror Story" wants Lady Gaga back for Season 6. Will she be returning?
"American Horror Story: Hotel" had a successful first episode, and fans can't help but rave about it on social media, Latin Post reported. The show's creator, Ryan Murphy, took some time to praise Lady Gaga for an amazing performance and officially invited her to be back on Season 6.
Although it is yet to be confirmed if she will be back in Season 6, Lady Gaga told Jimmy Fallon while she was a guest in "TheTonight Show" that she had a history of acting long before she took up singing. She also admitted that the dark and creepy side of TV and film is what she is mostly attracted to.
Even if she was the first to approach Murphy for the venture, it's the creator now who is asking for her comeback. The singer is currently enjoying being top bill for the season as The Countess Elizabeth. Apart from the singer, she is also joined by mostly returning actors of the show like Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Wes Bentley, Angela Bassett, Chloe Sevigny, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Dennis O'Hare, Finn Wittrock and Evan Peters.
According to a report from Latin Post, the season will be more bloody and sex filled with the addition of the singer. Although previous seasons have brought in the same flavor, this whole new season is expected to bring elements to new heights.
Even if Lady Gaga is known for her risqué performances and outrageous antics on and off stage, the singer explained that there is a deeper meaning to what she does.
"I don't just simply do things because they are provocative or because they are shocking. I'm doing it because of the story that [Ryan Murphy] is telling about addiction, the story that he's telling about our own narcissism, the story that he's telling about how the human being strives to survive within the challenges of the universe," Gaga explained in an interview with Hollywood Reporter.
For her appearance in "American Horror Story," Lady Gaga said that she hopes to be "forgettable" in her TV debut.
"I'd really like people to watch it and not feel like they're watching Lady Gaga. I'd like them to feel like they're watching The Countess. So that's important to me, and I've spent a lot of time working on that. I can't wait for everyone to just enjoy the show," the singer said.
