Episode 14 of "Dragon Ball Super" looks like it will end the "Battle of the Gods" story arc with the ending to the climactic battle between Goku and Lord Beerus. However, it is not yet clear on who actually wins the fight.
This article may contain spoilers: readers, be warned.
According to Attack of the Fanboy, the title for episode 14 is "Conclusion! The Battle of the Gods", and continues the epic fight between Beerus and Goku. At the start of the episode, Goku has reverted back to his Super Saiyan one form and is currently at a disadvantage if the fight continues.
In the trailer, which can be found on YouTube, Goku seems to still be doing his best while in the Super Saiyan stage, letting his fist match Beerus' blow for blow. The world, however, watches on as the two fighters fight in outer space and as the two begin to power up for their final ki attack. The trailer does not confirm anything, but it seems that Goku's Kamehameha does actually hit the God of Destruction Beerus.
As stated previously, this episode will be the finale to the "Battle of the Gods" story arc, and it is heavily rumored that the next arc will be the path to the "Resurrection F", where fans of the series will see the return of Frieza back to life, and apparently, in a new form.
"Dragon Ball Super" is the official continuation of the "Dragon Ball Z" story and is officially endorsed by the series creator Akira Toriyama. There was another short-lived continuation before "Dragon Ball Super" called "Dragon Ball GT". However, the show was not as popular among the fans. Toriyama also did not give his backing to the show.
The story of "Dragon Ball Super" continues right after the Majin Buu story arc of "Dragon Ball Z." Toriyama has said that he has a lot of nice surprises for fans of the show. Toriyama has stated that after the "Batle of the Gods" and "Resurrection F" story arcs, Goku and his friends will finally be departing from their Universe. The heroes will apparently be fighting against the warriors from a neighboring universe called Universe 6.
Thus far, "Dragon Ball Super" has been a hit among fans, and many are happy with where the series is heading. Episode 14 of "Dragon Ball Super" is set to debut in Japan on Oct. 14, 2015, and around the world soon after.
