Are Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt slowly steering clear of the multi-man team matches and going solo?
It remains to be seen if that singles match held at recently at last Monday’s edition of WWE RAW will gain any ground though the two are headed for a one-on-one at WWE Hell in a Cell which takes place on October 25 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California
Rewinding a bit, WWE fans got a glimpse of things to expect between the two rivals at WWE RAW. Reigns was out by his lonesome against the Wyatt Family and in the end, Bray Wyatt accepted the singles match with no Luke Harper or Braun Strowman around.
The match was punishing as expected with both wrestlers letting it all out. The fight eventually spilled out of the ring and the result was complete carnage outside the ring.
The fierce exchange is of course not surprising, seeing how both have feuded dating back to that WWE Money in the Bank incident that started it all. The singles rivalry had been spiced up a bit with the insertion of Dean Ambrose, Harper and Strowman.
And everyone knows that seemingly one-night only performance of Chris Jericho as well as the latest addition of Randy Orton.
When Orton came into the fray, it seemed that a regular three-on-three was in the works but with the latest development, it seems that all other members tied up with the ongoing feud will either be out for now unless the WWE Creative Team sets up a separate tiff involving all other members sans Reigns and Bray.
Could we see Ambrose and Orton going up against Harper and Strowman in a tag match instead? Somehow the odds don’t seem to be in favor of the Viper and the Lunatic Fringe but then again one never knows.
Going back to Reigns and Wyatt, the reaction on a possible conclusion at WWE Hell in a Cell seems to be divided.
On one hand, the stage should be perfect since the upcoming PPV is perhaps one of the grueling and punishing setups that could cap a storied rivalry.
Then again, there is the matter of figuring out where both fighters would go should the feud end. Will Reigns finally get his shot? Who will Bray Wyatt prey on next?
Right now, the feud which has immensely benefitted Reigns as far as his work behind the microphone is concerned would depend on other storylines. Reigns next push would depend on the course of Seth Rollins who is currently tied up with Kane in a storyline.
Rollins is likely to remain as champion despite the demonic return of the Big Red Machine though all of that could fall on the RAW episode following WWE Hell in a Cell.
