“Boruto: Naruto the Movie” officially became the highest-grossing “Naruto” movie in history. The film is expected to reach the United States in October 2015, and there are even rumors of a Live-Action “Boruto: Naruto the Movie.”
Vine Report wrote that “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” premiered on Aug. 8, 2015 in Japan, raking in about $5.46 million in the first three days and eventually broke the record of its predecessor, “The Last: Naruto the Movie”. Many critics claimed that the movie was among the best in the “Naruto” series. The 11th installment of the franchise based on the manga by Masashi Kishimoto is also set to arrive in the United States on October 10. It will be in Australian theatres as well from October 15 to 21.
There are also talks that “Boruto: Naruto the Movie” will be adapted into a live-action version because of the huge success of the film. Lionsgate reported that they are currently negotiating to produce a live-action movie. Michael Gracey, former visual effects expert, was recently signed by Lionsgate to reportedly direct the upcoming movie, together with Avi Arad and Ari Arad, based on a report by Design N Trend. Lionsgate is also said to be in discussions with Masashi Kishimoto to acquire movie rights. No confirmation has been given yet, so fans should take these statements with a grain of salt.
“Boruto: Naruto the Movie” was brought by Viz Media and will be shown in 80 cities across the United States, including New York, Chicago, Seattle, San Diego, Washington, Honolulu and Toronto.
The synopsis of the movie stated that Naruto is already serving as the Seventh Hokage. The Hidden Leaf Village is about to host the Chunin Exams to train new shinobi from various allied villages. Among the participants are Sarada, Sasuke’s daughter, Mitsuki, and Boruto, Naruto’s son, among others. Boruto shows great potential but has contempt for his father, who is always busy in his great role.
Sasuke warns Naruto of a mysterious danger that he sensed. Momoshiki and Kinshiki come during the Chunin Exams to try and assassinate Naruto with the Rinnegan. Sasuke guards a shocked Boruto and Naruto shields both of them before disappearing. Sasuke, Boruto and the Five Kage start a mission into another dimension to look for answers.
