"Fallout 4" promises to bring a whole lot better gaming experience. However, with this guarantee comes a need for a somehow bigger space in your console's drive.
In the Xbox Store, Microsoft has listed the game to take 28.12 GB in Xbox One. Although the size might not be that surprising when assessed with what the game has promised, previous titles such as "Fallout: New Vegas" and "Fallout 3" only took up 4.75 GB and 5.48 GB, respectively, making the game roughly six times bigger than its predecessors.
According to a report by Game Rant, the file size of the game is actually small as compared to other big-name Triple-A games taking into consideration that the game will be released in current generation consoles.
The report mentioned that Bethesda game studios might have considered the limited space in current consoles, thereby doing a "major work" to compress the game into that size. Game Rant also assumed that the size of the game will be the same for PlayStation 4 although an announcement is yet to be made by Bethesda and Sony.
"Fallout 4" is an action role-playing video game where gamers will play the role of the sole survivor of a certain Vault 111. The game has a retro-futuristic setting that covers Boston, Massachusetts and a part of the New England called Commonwealth, 200 years after a nuclear bombing.
Just recently, a separate report by Game Rant highlighted the new and improved loot system of the game as well as its character creation system called S.P.E.C.I.A.L that will allow gamers to build a character based on their own playstyle.
Before that, it has already been reported that the game will be stacked with various features, promising to be the most expansive game in the "Fallout" franchise.
Assuring players with more than 400 hours of gameplay in the Boston wasteland, "Fallout 4" will no longer have a cap space and an ultimate ending for its storyline, making the game even bigger than what fans have expected.
Along these are options of extensive weapon customization, settlement building and a new VATS (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System) that will allow players to put the game in slow motion instead of the previous combat system in "Fallout 3" that literally stops time.
Moreover, "Fallout 4" will also have voice acting for the main character which is a first in the series.
These additional features could play part why the game will be launched with the aforementioned file size.
"Fallout 4" will be released on November 10, 2015. It will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
