Diane von Furstenberg shut it down on Sunday as she launched her 2016 Spring Summer collections during New York Fashion Week. Diane's beautiful pieces were unveiled on the catwalk by the ultimate girl squad.
DVF's show was packed major "it" girls on and off the runway. Karlie Kloss opened the show, while Gigi Hadid closed it out. And in between a gaggle of gorgeous gals, including Gigi's sis Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn, Irina Shyak, and Lily Aldridge.

Off the runway, fellow model Kate Upton, actress Victoria Justice, and singer Tori Kelly were among some of the celebrities enjoying the music, which included some Drake and The Weekend. His summer smash, "Can't Feel My Face" closed out the show. The Weeknd was also in attendance, supporting his girlfriend, Bella Hadid.
Diane von Furstenberg is known for her signature wrap dresses which debuted in 1974. Associated Press writes, von Furstenberg said, "the key to her longevity is reinvention and enjoying the journey." It looks like this season she took it back to the disco-decade that launched her career. The collection was marked by metallic golds, mixed prints, jumpsuits, high-waisted suits, and billowy blouses in shades of pink, black accented by gold embellishments, and white with pops of color. The whimsical numbers were comprised of light fabrics, like satin, linen, and other sheer fabrics.
As Fashionista points out, looks like DVF is going for a younger and busier vibe rather than her usual powerful, ambitious feel. However, Diane says her collection is really about helping every woman bring out her inner "goddess"
"It's a lot about the details. It's about the patching. It's the freedom. It's the easiness. It's (for) a woman to feel like a goddess," von Furstenberg said of her newest collection. She definitely got the top goddesses of the fashion industry to sport her fun and sassy collection on the runway.
Von Furstenberg tells Associated Press, her inspiration for the seventies inspired collection was all thanks to the first painting she ever bought.
Diane is notorious for throwing a major party of a show during New York Fashion Week. Her previous collections have been launched while live bands, like St. Vincent, rocked the stage.
