After her hit "Good For You" single, Selena Gomez released another track with a title "Same Old Love."
Gomez embraced a more sultry tone when she released her track "Good For You." For her newest song, "Same Old Love," however, the singer ups the tempo. Her new song also features vocals from Charli XCX, who co-wrote the song.
"Same Old Love" is the second single she released from her upcoming "Revival" album, Entertainment Weekly reported. Aside from her new track, Gomez also posted images presumably from her album photoshoot. In a recent photo, the 23-year-old can be seen wearing a sexy black gown. She puts a caption along with the photo that said, "Ahhh you guys! You can now preorder #REVIVAL on @applemusic and get my new single #SameOldLove instantly."
US magazine reported that Gomez's latest track talks about how she is tired of the "same old love." It is expected that there will be rumors claiming the song is about her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber.
Admittedly though, Gomez confessed in an interview that some of the songs really was inspired by her past relationship.
"I'm not the best singer in the world, but I know how to translate emotion," Gomez said. "I'm becoming a young woman and I'm comfortable with my sensuality...[I'm] really excited about the title of the album and the rebirth of Gomez. It's just beautiful. It's my chance to just feel like an independent artist and I worked really hard on it. It's all about my journey."
Although their tumultuous relationship ended for good last year, it's still hard for people to separate Gomez and Bieber. "It's difficult for people to separate us. The Internet wants to freeze this moment in time and constantly repeat it," Gomez said.
While her relationship with Bieber is nowhere near restoration, Gomez did manage to reunite with one of the closest people she had in her life. Former BFFs Gomez and Demi Lovato were seen together once again.
The two took a selfie together, which Lovato posted using her Instagram account. It is the first photo of them together since 2014. Lovato famously unfollowed Gomez and cited that it was "just one of those things where people change and people grow apart."
Their fans from the early years of their careers are definitely cheering now. It's nice to see estranged friends reconnect.
