Is there really nothing UFC Women's Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey can't do? The mix martial arts champion has already gone on to appear in several movies, such as "The Expendables 3" and "Entourage," and now it seems that Stephen Amell is looking to get the sports superstar to be featured in the hit TV show "Arrow."
According to Cinema Blend, rumors started about Rousey's possible involvement in "Arrow" during a Q&A session at the recently held Dragon Con. During the session, a fan came up to the microphone and said that Rousey "ships Olicity" which got an immediate reaction from the crowd. Amell's response, "I ship Rousey," got an even bigger response. The meaning of these two phrases must be code among "Arrow" fans.
When asked if the MMA star could ever appear on "Arrow," Amell jokingly responded that Rousey could replace him for an episode or two so that the Arrow could get a few days off. Amell also claimed that Rousey is a big enough star at this point, so she could do almost anything she wants if she just asked.
The Q&A session also tackled several issues about the upcoming season of "Arrow." Questions which are looming included Merlin being the new head of the League of Assassins and the implications of this for Team Arrow. Another hot topic seemed to be that of Diggle's new costume and what it signifies for the character? Does this mean that he will finally be getting super powers?
Amell also states that he would not mind if Rousey is written into the show with a possible romance between the two of them included. Amell also said that the trailer for Season 4 is the first time that the trailer has been looked at with such a microscope, and that the theories and rumors that have been running around are about 80 percent false.
Realty Today confirmed that the team will be fighting the H.I.V.E which is the organization that killed Diggle's brother and Damien Darhk. H.I.V.E is another organization similar to the League of Assassins, which mostly deal in training mercenaries and assassins. "Arrow" Season 4 premieres on the CW on October 7.
