Apple is notorious for never putting its devices up for sales, and most people didn't expect the company to budge even for Black Friday. Well, lo and behold, this year Apple is holding a one day sale, today, November 23, on Black Friday.
The Apple Black Friday event deals can all be purchased through Apple's online store or at your local Apple brick and mortar store. Doors open today at 7:00 a.m. local time.
The deals aren't exactly the greatest, but for iShoppers it's still a welcome change of pace from paying full price. Here's what the Cupertino giant is offering in terms of savings.
Tablet buyers will be able to pick up a Retina iPad or iPad 2 at a discounted price. A $499 Retina iPad is on sale for $458, while a $399 iPad 2 is going for $368.
Apple is also putting its iPod lineup on sale. The brand new 5th-gen iPod Touch normally costs $299, but will be on sale for $268 today. Shoppers can also pick up the new iPod nano for $138 instead of $149. The 4th-gen iPod Touch runs only $178 today.
Macbooks are also on sale on Black Friday, sporting discounts of $101 across the board. A $1699 Retina Macbook Pro is on sale for $1598, a $1199 Macbook Pro goes for $1098, and the $999 Macbook Air costs just $898. These laptops certainly aren't cheap, but three-digit savings on an Apple Macbook is a pretty good deal.
Other than that, Apple is offering discounts on a variety of accessories such as AirPort stations, keyboards, and even Apple headphones. Cases for the iPad are also on sale.
