The Powerball jackpot has increased following Wednesday's winning numbers were not matched.
On Nov. 21, the Powerball numbers were played and presented 8, 18, 24, 30, 39, and Powerball number 26. The jackpot prize stood at $262,900,000. Unfortunately for those playing on Wednesday, no numbers were matched, for the 14th consecutive drawing, but fortunately for those who didn't, the jackpot has increased to an estimated $325 million.
As to how the game is played, Powerball stated:
"Players pay $2 and select five white balls from the first set of 59 numbers plus a single red ball, the Powerball, from a second set of 35 numbers. Players may select their own numbers using a Powerball playslip, or they may opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn plus the Powerball number to win the jackpot. There also are eight additional ways for players to win a cash prize."
The next drawing will take place on Sat., Nov. 24. Tickets must be purchased by Saturday at 9:59 p.m. EST as the drawing numbers take place at 10:59 p.m. EST.
