Zoe Saldaña joins other celebrities in the latest public service announcement sponsored by the White House. The campaign hopes to end cases of sexual assaults.

Fox News Latino reported that celebrities united to put an end to sexual assaults. Zoe Saldaña, Nina Dobrev, Josh Hutcherson, Minka Kelly and other Hollywood personalities star in a video that aims to put an end to sexual assaults.

On Tuesday, the White House released a video with a title "It's on Us", which is part of President Barack Obama's campaign to help men and women recognize that non-consensual sex is rape. In the 30-second video, Zoe opens up by saying, "There is one thing you can never have sex without."

The stars explained how sex without consent is considered as rape, and Saldaña closed the video saying that without consent, you shouldn't get sex.

The "It's on Us" PSA campaign was also released last year with stars like Rose Byrne, John Hamm, Randy Jackson, Olivia Munn and Kerry Washington, along with Vice-President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama.

Celebrities have a proven track record of creating impact when promoting an advert. This is why such important campaigns would be more effective when Hollywood stars endorse it. Cases of sexual assault are something that even celebrities have faced, say for example famous ones like Oprah Winfrey and Julianne Hough.

In an article by ABC News, Hough once spoke about the abuse she suffered as a child. The dancer turned actress said that she was abused "mentally, physically and everything." Julianne revealed that the adults around her took advantage because she was separated from her parents.

"I was a tormented little kid who had to put on this sexy facade because that was my job and my life. But my heart was the same, and I was this innocent little girl. I wanted so much love,"Hough said in her Cosmopolitan interview. "While I was in London, I was abused, mentally, physically, everything. I'm a very forgiving person, and I don't want to hurt anybody. What's past is past."

Oprah Winfrey also admitted about her past while she was doing a show with sexual abuse victims. The talk show host revealed to her audience that she was molested when she was nine years old by a relative. The media mogul said that the rape continued until she was 13, which led to her sexual promiscuity. At the age of 14, Oprah got pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy who unfortunately died in infancy.
