Backers of the immensely popular game "Mighty No. 9" are receiving good news in the form of a demo version of the game that will be available starting Sept. 15.

For those who remember, "Mighty No. 9" was supposed to be released in the United States on Sept. 15. However, due to time constraints and other issues, the launch was pushed back to next year. IGN reports that the demo will include three stages and will only be available on the PC.

Cinemablend reports that the stages will be fully functional with all the power ups, enemies and bosses that would be available in the complete game. The stages will also follow the story that the complete game will be following. "Mighty No. 9" creator Kenji Inafune has stated that the playable stages will include a tutorial stage, as well as Stages 1, 3 and 5.

When asked about the current delays in the game being finished, Inafune said that while he enjoys the stress and the complications that come with being a developer, it really takes time for a complete game to be made. Inafune went on to say that after the beta test was released and was received with such positive reviews, the team really wanted to give the fans of the genre what they have been waiting for.

With the positive reviews from the beta test, Inafune claimed that the information that the "Mighty No. 9" team got from the beta version cemented the fact that the direction the game was going was the correct one. Inafune also asks the fans of the series to be a little more patient as the game is currently in its final stages. The team just wants to put out the best game possible for fans and for the backers of the project.

For gamers who are wondering why "Mighty No. 9" has such a similar look and feel as the retro "Mega Man" series, it is because Kenji Inafune is actually one of the original illustrators who worked on the "Mega Man" series on the NES. He is also the creator of the popular character of Zero.

Currently, Inafune's kicker starter company Comcept is working on several other titles that are set for release in the near future, such as "ReCore", set for a 2016 release, as well as "Red Ash: The Indelible Legend", set for a 2017 release.

Hopes are high for the "Mighty No. 9" series. However, can it rival that of its predecessor? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
