Rihanna is reportedly still looking for artists who will be featured on her highly anticipated eighth studio album, "R8."
According to Mirror Online, the Barbadian star has "dumped a load of material" off her upcoming record and been in search of British artists lately.
"Rihanna is desperate for an edgy sound that will appeal to a European market as well as America," a source revealed.
The source also claimed that RiRi wants to make smash hits again -- just like her 2011 collaboration with Calvin Harris, "We Found Love."
"So far she doesn't feel the songs she has are delivering the full package," the source continued. "Her people have put in calls with the best songwriters on their books and requested they drop everything to help."
The "B***h Better Have My Money" singer and her team had supposedly been inviting hundreds of songwriters to spend a few days to come up with tracks with them. However, this time, "they've gone direct to guaranteed hit makers as there's no time to waste."
"Rihanna wants another vintage album like 'Rated R' and won't put anything out until she's happy," the source added.
Meanwhile, Rihanna might team up with on-again Chris Brown for her anxiously awaited project.
According to Urban Islandz, the "Loyal" hit maker has "reached out" to the "American Oxygen" crooner for a guest feature on her forthcoming LP.
"I think there might be a dope Rihanna and Chris Brown song coming this year," an insider said. "These two have collaborated before and make dope hit music so when they come together, you can expect something crazy."
The insider also divulged that the "Birthday Cake" duo has been discussing their possible collaboration for a while, following their infamous breakup back in 2009.
"This is something that they have been talking about for a while now but it was his original idea to get her on his upcoming album," the insider added. "She agreed that they should do another song so it's almost a done deal."
