More rumors about the iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 3 and iPad Pro continue to circulate. Here are some of the latest details and updates on the three Apple devices.
MacWorld wrote that the iPad Mini 4 will be much better than its predecessor. The new tablet may feature a 7.9-inch display and will most likely be introduced in October 2015 and released about two weeks after. The product might include an A9 processor, allowing it to have the split-screen view that the iPad Air 2 had. The product may also have 2GB of RAM and an 802.11ac WiFi. The new device is expected to be thinner and lightweight. It is said to acquire some current features of the iPad Air 2, such as an 8-megapixel iSight camera and the design.
Based on another MacWorld report, the iPad Air 3 is expected to launch in October 2015 as well. The current iPad Air 2 is already 6.1mm thin, so the next-generation could stay the same or even go slimmer. However, many users expect the thickness to be the same as its predecessor so as not to sacrifice strength. The display will most likely still measure 9.7 inches. There may be three iOS device color options, namely silver, space grey and gold.
The iPad Air may feature an A9 or A9X processor and a more powerful battery. The device may be capable of multitasking capabilities and the screen may have anti-reflective coating. The display may also improve in terms of resolution. The iPad Air 3 might have the same 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front camera. There will be various models available depending on the user’s memory preference. There will be a 16GB Wi-Fi version, a 64GB Wi-Fi model and a 128GB Wi-Fi model. There will also be 3G/cellular versions from 16GB to 128GB.
As for the much-rumored iPad Pro, CNet wrote that the 12.2-inch device will most likely release early in 2016. There may be more color options aside from gold, silver and space grey. The iPad Pro may feature iOS 9, split-screen view and gesture-based controls. The device may have a high-resolution 2732 x 2048 display, with a pixel density equal to the current iPad Air 2. The tablet may also have Force Touch technology. The iPad Pro may have NFC support for online Apple Pay and USB Type-C support. It may also remain compatible with several accessories used in current-generation Apple products. The iPad Pro is expected to be more expensive than the iPad Air 2 by $100 to $200.
More news and details about the three tablets are expected in the coming weeks.
