BATE Borisov holds their own destiny in their hands.

They must win their final two matches of Group F play if they hope to make the next round of the UCL. Fortunately, they start their two match venture against Lille, the worst team in group F. The Belarusian side has had a successful tournament with two wins, including one against Lille and another against Bayern Munich. The Munich match was a decisive 3-1 win in which they kept the German powerhouse scoreless until injury time. They have been dominant in the Belarusian League with 20 wins in 28 matches and 64 points.

The French side Lille has had a mediocre season and sits in eight place after a third place finish last season. The team has won five times, drawn another five, and lost three. That record does not match their woeful UCL venture in which they have lost every match by at least two goals and have conceded 12 goals, the most in the tournament. A Europa League berth is impossible for them unless they manage to win the final two matches to BATE Borisov and Valencia by substantial margins.

Prediction: I will go against the grain here and say that Lille pulls out a surprise 2-2 draw on the road.
