Good news for all gamers: The PlayStation Experience will be held in December this year, but it has a new venue, according to a report by Game Revolution.
Instead of Las Vegas, the PlayStation Experience 2015 will now be held in San Francisco, particularly in Mascone Convention Center. It may ring a bell for some as it is the venue of the Game Developers Conference, held annually as reported by Game Revolution.
This year's PlayStation Experience will be held on December 5-6, and registration is now possible without a PSN through this page.
As for the price, the PlayStation event website reveals that a two-day pass will cost US$60 if it will be bought before September 20. It will be more expensive on September 21 onwards. Meanwhile, a Saturday pass will cost US$45, while a Sunday pass will cost US$40.
If you are looking for places to stay near the venue, PlayStation event website has a list of recommendations with rates ranging between US$179 and $249 making it convenient for you to work on your travel plan. It is best to look for reasonably priced accommodation ahead of time, as this year's event will surely entice a lot of guests!
Among the listed hotels include San Francisco Marriot Marquis, Hilton San Francisco and Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Downtown.
Another pleasant news for the event's followers this year is that PlayStation Experience has partnered with Capcom, making this different from the previous staging. This means there will be a Capcom Cup Street Fighter tournament. It is said to happen on Dec. 6 and it is expected to draw in more crowd at the venue.
The finale of the Capcom Pro Tour will host 32 top players who will all compete to get the US$250,000 prize pool aside from the "Street Fighter World Champion" title. Attendees who are willing to spend US$75 can get a front area seating at the event plus a gift bag and an after-party to complete the experience!
The organizers have yet to release a list of PlayStation titles that will be available at the event, but Game Revolution's website reveals that this would surely include "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," "Ratchet &Clank," "Dark Souls III" and probably some DLC for "The Last Guardian," "Horizon Zero Dawn" and "Bloodborne".
