Gearbox Software has officially confirmed its next DLC pack, Mr. Torque's Campaign of Carnage, which was leaked by a forum user on Neogaf weeks ago.
The developer's twitter account ECHOcasts, reads from the Mr. Torque's perspective: "ARE YOU BADASS ENOUGH TO SURVIVE MISTER TORQUE'S CAMPAIGN OF CARNAGE? I'M LEGIT CURIOUS CAUSE I DUNNO YOU THAT WELL."
Back in September, IGN reported that resumes for employees of developer The Workshop "suggested that Torque-related content was in the works, hinting it would include 10 hours of additional content." In Borderlands fiction, Torque is one of many weapons manufacturers whose products are available to players in-game.
When the most recent patch for the PS3 version was released, code junkies dug into the its programming and found three new trophies. The first rewards players for completing the mission "Long Way to the Top," the second for finishing all the side missions, and the third for collecting 10 pictures of Moxxi.
The first DLC pack, "Captain Scarlett," introduced a bandit town called Oasis, a new currency known as seraph crystals, a new hovering sand skill vehicle, and new enemies.
The developer also introduced a new class known as the Mechromancer, which has the ability to summon a robot ally in battle. The new character, known as Gaige, maintains her own unique skill tree. Gamers must pay a fee of 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99) to download the new content.
Gamers have the options to download each slice of content individually, or to opt for a $29.99 Season Pass that entitles consumers to four add-on packs.
