ABC's psychological thriller series "Revenge" may have a spin off but it all depends on the viewership and how the fans will take it.

According to TVLine, "Revenge" may have ended but it's not definite that it will not make a comeback just like how other shows work out. It has been rumored that the executives of ABC are talking about a possible spin off.

During a summer press tour for the Television Critics Association, president of ABC Paul Lee was asked about the series that ended May. He left "Revenge" fans the possibility that something might happen down the road.

"We didn't land that pilot but it's a wonderful brand; it's known around the world. That doesn't preclude us from doing it again," Lee said.

The show, "The Kingmakers," was supposed to be a different show that is separate from "Revenge." When the hit series ended, however, "Kingmakers" was left by itself. Meanwhile, there were plans and speculations that some cast members from "Revenge" will make an appearance on the new show.

"Revenge" became a hit show when it was released in 2012 but the ratings of the show declined since then. The ratings led to the show's cancellation just after four seasons. It didn't help "Kingmakers" chances for positive viewership since the first didn't make it, it would be hard to except that the second one would do same if not better.

However, TV Line also speculated on the possibility of Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe reprising their roles in the event that "Revenge" made a spin off. The article stated that the fans fell in love with Nolan's character and that they are looking forwards for a spinoff which will be based on Emily's character.

Executive producer of the show Sunil Nayar talked about the possibility of a fifth season.

"The idea had been floated that a character or two from 'Revenge' could show up on her show. The idea was to build [the two shows] in the same universe," she said.

According to Deadline, "Revenge" was considered a "critical brand" and for the network. The whole concept of the series revolved around and was inspired by "The Count of Monte Cristo."

Since it first made its way on TV, "Revenge" was able to bag several awards including the Awards for Favorite Guilty Pleasure by TV.com, Allen Awards for Outstanding Drama, NewNowNext Award for Best New Indulgence. The show was also nominated at the 2015 People's Choice Awards for Favorite Network TV Drama. Madeleine Stowe was nominated for a Golden Globes Award in the Best Actress in a TV drama category for her role in the series.
