NBA 2K16 gamers have been finally treated to some screenshots of the upcoming game, all in 1080p.
Three screen shots were revealed, showing some shots of NBA players James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors and reigning MVP Stephen Curry and rising big man Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans.
2K sports released the said photos via social media Twitter, showcasing the three players expected to be on the cover for the upcoming game for the United States aside from Michael Jordan of course.
The photos looked stunning, pretty realistic which should all the more spur up the hype as far as anticipation for the next NBA 2K installment set to be released on September 29, 2015.
Of the three, the photo of Steph Curry looks pretty real. It carries his most recent look which includes his facial hair, light mustache and goatee. Curry’s character will reportedly include his signature mouthpiece-chewing that he does during games.
As far as David and Harden are concerned, well, everyone knows what sets them apart from other players. Davis appears with his iconic eyebrows while Harden has his marquee beard to show.
From the looks of it, the graphics team did a pretty good job working in the graphical likeness of the players so it should be interesting to see what the other NBA stars like Lebron James or even Kobe Bryant will look like.
Other players who have signature looks that should be interesting to watch out for include Iman Shumpert (the hair), DeAndre Jordan (the afro and the beard) and so on.
For the avid NBA fan, everyone knows the persona and style that each NBA player carries ranging from hair style to tattoos.
While the realistic angle seems to be amply covered, it remains to be seen how gameplay will turn out.
Remember that among the grievances that 2K Sports had to address were the improvements on making the game into an actual and realistic one.
It will be recalled in a previous post that much of the suggestions from 2K players which were detailed at NBA2K16game.com.
Previous to the released photos, enhancements were reportedly already made. Among those areas which were improved include that of dribbling, passing and more animation in the background, specifically the things that are going on behind the player with the ball.
With a pretty stellar image resolution, one has to wonder how large the game file would be and hopefully it doesn’t cause some hiccups for people who are looking forward to a smooth and playable NBA 2K16.
