CW's "Supernatural" season 11 is set to pick up right where last season's cliffhanger left off -- Dean and Sam fighting against the destruction of The Darkness.
Executive producer Jeremy Carver spoke during Comic-Con about the upcoming season's return and what fans can expect to continue from The Darkness.
Season 10 had the demon-fighting brothers coming together to battle against even more evil forces, while trying to figure out the full extent of The Darkness' power and how to overcome it.
Carver revealed, via TVline, that the new season will focus on the brothers working as a team to unite their good to fight the evil.
"This year, we are going to have a little bit more of an epic feel with a Big Bad and a real quest for the brothers to unite," he said.
Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, who play Sam and Dean, respectively, stated their own happiness for the main characters uniting force.
"What I like about where we're going is the brothers are united, similar to Season 1, when we were looking for dad. We're back to normal so to speak and we have a common target."
Padalecki agreed and gave fans a rooting chance for their alliance, saying, "I think we'll beat [The Darkness] because we're not the Losechesters. I'm happy to see them teaming up."
Meanwhile, amongst all the evil forces that will be tempting to destroy the duo and the rest of the world, a beautiful seductress is being introduced in the character of Amara, set to be played by newcomer to the show Emily Swallow.
Swallow joins the cast as a recurring role of a femme fatale and is better known for her previous role on "The Mentalist." Amara will be a malevolent character, who will distract and connive the main characters along their quest.
Although executive producers have not confirmed if Amara is connected to The Darkness or when she will be introduced, she is supposed to be significant to the forthcoming season's storyline. Fans will have to tune in to see her grand reveal and how dangerous she will be to Dean and Sam.
CW's "Supernatural" season 11 is set to return on Oct. 7.
