According to rumors, Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo was publicly shamed by Australian model Aline Lima after he attempted to pursue her.
In a report by The New York Post, the Real Madrid star allegedly attempted to woo Lima via a series of text messages. The model said she shot the player down.
The 22-year-old Melbourne-based model said that Ronaldo continued to pursue her by sending her text messages via chat app, Whatsapp. This was even after she told the 30-year-old football player that she is in a relationship.
Ronaldo reportedly asked Lima to send her a picture while she was at a gym with a message that read, "No one knows, baby. Quiet."
According to Daily Mail, Lima originally got in touch with the Real Madrid player by messaging him, asking if he received the fan mail that her boyfriend sent him. Apparently, Ronaldo was set on Lima and only wanted to meet her.
"Yes, beautiful. But it is difficult. I do not want to know man. I want to meet you," Ronaldo allegedly replied.
Many are questioning her credibility, so the Miss Latina Australia released a statement regarding her claims involving the football superstar.
"So I just want to make things clear for all these people saying I was seeking attention or whatever. My boyfriend is actually the one who told the media and I don't blame him, as he clearly was so disappointed at the fact that Ronaldo didn't care about him, a fan of Ronaldo's since he was a kid," Lima explained.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is facing another controversy. Time reported that Ronaldo walked out from an interview after he was questioned about FIFA. The player did the interview as part of his efforts to endorse a range of new headphones he is going to launch in the United States. However, interviewer Andres Oppenheimer pushed one of Ronaldo's buttons when he asked about FIFA.
"You want to know the truth? We don't speak about it at all. I do my profession, my job, I give my all for my club. The rest doesn't matter to me. I don't care what happens on the outside," said Ronaldo.
When the interviewer asked about the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the player shifted to an off mood and walked away from the interview.
"This is [expletive]. Speak about FIFA, I don't care about FIFA. And Qatar, I don't give a [expletive]. What you want me to do? Speak about product, he speaks about FIFA. Come on," Ronaldo said.
