Photos of Nina Dobrev reuniting with her former "The Vampire Diaries" friends emerged online. Fans are asking: is she coming back for the series' seventh season?
In an article by Hollywood Life, although 26-year-old actress Nina Dobrev left "The Vampire Diaries," she was able to maintain a close friendship with the cast. The young actress was seen in a series of snaps for Kayla Ewell's bachelorette party
Elena, Nina's character in the vampire themed series, was last seen on the sixth season. In an interview she did before with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress said that it was time to leave and the fairytale has to end.
"The fairy tale has to end, and the next chapter has to begin. I knew this was my time, and I'm excited for the next step," Dobrev said. "Anything for the first time, the unknown, the fear, those are all emotions that are so exciting, ultimately. I love that feeling, and I really want to feel that again. That's why I'm excited about this next chapter: I have no idea what's going to happen, and that means anything can happen. That's what's most exciting to me - the prospect of anything."
Although fans would really like to see her back for the seventh season, it's now impossible as Nina is convinced with her decision. However, she did confess that leaving was hard since she wouldn't be able to spend as much time with the friends she was able to make.
"I am very sad that I'm not going to get to spend every day with my favorite people in the world, but, that's why we have FaceTime and phone calls. Friendships are like vampires: They'll last forever if they're real," Nina said.
Meanwhile, the executive producer of the show, Julie Plec, talked about the highly anticipated seventh season of "The Vampire Diaries." She revealed that Alaric will continue to suffer and at one point, might even turn into an alcoholic. Towards the end of the season, Alaric will likely come into terms with the death of his loved ones and will be able to pick himself up again.
The next season of "The Vampire Diaries" will cast "Powers" actor Justice Leak who will be given the role of Malcolm. "The Mentalist" star Tim Kang will also be part of the cast as well as "Zoo" star Jaide Kaine.
Season 7 of "The Vampire Diaries" will premier this fall.
