It is no secret that Jennifer Lopez has her way of leaving a jaw-dropping effect on the red carpet of awards shows and movie premieres, reminding us that her age is a figment of our imagination. The mother of twins let it be known that her birthday was no exception.
The "American Idol" judge celebrated her 46th birthday on Saturday in a barely-there black dress designed by Bao Tranchi at the 1OAK Southampton nightclub in Southampton City, New York. The sexy frock featured a scoop neck, chest and waist cut-outs, cap sleeves, and sheer cut-out panels that exposed her curves.
The internet also exploded over the weekend revealing some celebrities and fans alike drooled over J. Lo's bangin' birthday bod.
Kim Kardashian West even bowed down to the Latin mogul by tweeting: "How hot does @jlo look!!!!! She will forever by my idol!!!! #BodyGoals."
However, not everyone was pleased with Lopez's revealing gown for the grand occasion. Some fans reacted with mixed reviews -- they agreed that the "Booty" singer's killer body seems to be age-defying and the Bao Tranchi number is sexy, but should not be worn by someone in their late forties, even if it is the incredibly fit Jennifer Lopez.
Others followed in the same attitude. @myWhoopsieDaisy tweeted, "It's giving out an impression of a 46-year-old-trying-hard-to-be-twenty-something look."
Disagreements aside, most can settle on the fact that the actress and pop singer has turned heads over the years with designer dresses, both revealing and graceful over the years. Take a look back at the iconic Versace gown Lopez wore to the Grammy's that took America's breath away in 2000.
She also broke necks when she graced the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards in a hip-hugging nude long-sleeve Zuhair Murad dress adorned with sheer white lace in 2013.
There was also the stunning blush-colored gown that made her sparkle at the 2015 Academy Awards.
And that fiery ruby red sequins dress from the 2015 Met Gala designed by Donatella Versace.
Whether going for sexy or stunning, Lopez looks beautiful nonetheless.
