More UFC action is set to take place come Aug 1, 2015 at UFC 190 and by now, many know that the main event is something to look forward to.

It will, of course, feature bantamweight women’s champion Ronda Rousey squaring off against Brazilian challenger Bethe Correia. When the match was made, many were playing the guessing game on how fast Rousey would take apart Correia especially that foul suicide joke that sparked a fire inside Rousey.

The joke was of course part of the trash talking both women fighters were engaged in, a normal thing in the world of MMA fighting. But somehow, that exchange went a bit overboard.

Though it remains to be known if Correia was indeed aware or not that Rousey lost her father to suicide when she was just eight years old, the fact of the matter is that Rousey took exception and got slighted with the tweet.

Hence, a ho-hum fight just turned out to be more than just a plain UFC match with that incident. It now gives Rousey extra motivation to hand the Brazilian a beating and the reigning bantamweight champ promises that it will be a different kind of match as she plans to hand down punishment to Correia.

Though Correia did apologize for the said tweet, it seems that Rousey doesn’t accept the said apology, calling it half-hearted and could not believe the “Pitbull” was unaware of the personal events of her life.

And make no mistake about it, Rousey means business when she faces Correia in Rio De Janeiro this August 1st and proof of that is the champion posting a video on Instagram showing of her preparation for the upcoming fight.

“This fight has become extremely personal to me and I’ve never wanted to beat someone so badly in my life,” Rousey told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.

A video of that interview can be viewed below.

Rousey’s last match was against Cat Zingano where the champ ended the match in just 14-seconds last February 28. Her knack for fast victories is something that she terms as being merciful.

Heading into the August 1 showdown however, it will be a different story. Rousey intends to prolong Correia’s agony and inflict as much pain (and punishment) to the Brazilian come fight night.

Now the only question is how long will Rousey inflict the punishment? By saying that she would prolong the pain, would it mean that the champ will use up the whole first round?

Chances are Rousey will use up most of the time but this fight will not go beyond one round. As to what Rousey intends to do is anybody’s guess but the sure thing is that it won’t be pretty.

Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia get it on at UFC 190 this coming August 1, 2015 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil starting at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.
