Good news for gamers as CD Projekt RED is still rolling in new content and fixing bugs for the "Witcher 3" as the official patch changelog for patch 1.07 has been released online.
According to John Papadopoulos of DSO Gaming, CD Projekt RED has confirmed that the "Witcher 3" patch 1.07 would be available sometime this week and this upcoming patch would introduce a bunch of new features, performance enhancements, graphics tweaks and optimizations, gameplay improvements and bug fixes.
This is the changelog for patch 1.07 as confirmed by CD Projekt RED:
- A new, alternative (optional) movement response mode for Geralt.
- A player stash for storing items, available in various locations throughout the game. Stash locations are marked on the player's map.
- Crafting and alchemy components no longer add to the overall inventory weight.
- Books are now placed in a dedicated tab in the Inventory and books that have already been read are properly grayed out.
- A few performance enhancements, including the optimization of FX, scenes and general gameplay.
- Various improvements to horse behavior.
- Multiple sorting options are now available in the Inventory.
- Alchemy formulas and crafting diagrams can be "pinned", meaning all components and ingredients required to make them will be conveniently marked in the Shop panel.
- Dozens of fixes for quest related issues, both major and minor.
In a Facebook post by CD Projekt RED, they have confirmed that there would be no new free DLC for this week due their decision on finishing up patch 1.07. But they have reassured fans that the free DLC's would be out by next week.
Meanwhile, gamers have noted that despite being a major character in the "Witcher" franchise, there is a lack of content when it comes to Triss Marigold and that for a seemingly significant character in the series she was relegated to a minor role in "Witcher 3".
Sehran Shaikh of GamePur has reported that 85 percent of the users in the CD Projekt RED forum were disappointed at the lack of Triss Marigold content in the "Witcher 3" thus forcing CD Projekt RED's Marcin Momot to make a statement about the issue.
"Just to let everyone know. We pay very close attention to everything you guys write in this thread. We will be addressing this situation by adding/changing some dialogue stuff in the future - more info on this will come later so pardon my scarce input for the time being. This should help with the immersion. And once again, thank you all for your valuable feedback," Momot said.
Momot noted that while new content won't be added soon, small tweaks to the dialogue and small additions are going to be added to the game to help immersion as he teased that something big was coming to the "Witcher 3" world.
Could this mean that the upcoming "Witcher 3" expansion would be centered on Triss Marigold?
