The Rock has come back to the WWE and his latest appearance in a WWE live show has sparked some questions from the WWE Universe. Is The Rock back for good?
According to an article posted on WWE.com, The Rock made a surprise appearance at a WWE Live Event in Boston's TD Garden.
As was noted on the article, The Rock was able to appear on the WWE Live Event as the filming location for his next film was near the area. As was seen on the video, The Rock's surprise appearance did not disappoint as the most electrifying man in sports entertainment dazzled the crowd with his signature amazing mic skills and his verbal beat down of Bo Dallas before laying him out with a Rock Bottom and the People's Elbow.
As was noted by NESN.com, the surprise appearance by The Rock in the Boston WWE Live Show is really a rare sight to see major WWE superstars appear on a non-televised event.
"Those who follow wrestling know it's rare to see a superstar of The Rock's magnitude return to the squared circle at a non-televised event. It's even more surprising in The Rock's case because he's also a global movie star whose schedule already is filled to the brim," wrote NESN.
But does this mean that The Rock would be back at WWE programming soon?
Previously, the Rock said to Sports Illustrated that he and Triple H have something special planned for the fans.
"Myself, Vince, Triple H have talked about creating something that is amazing. Any time for me, going back into the WWE, especially if it's a match - and these guys know this because of the open dialogue between me and Triple H," said The Rock.
However, those plans may have been quashed as multiple reports claim that we should not expect to see The Rock at any televised WWE programming soon and that may even include WrestleMania.
According to a report by Cage Side Seats, The Rock's appearance at the Boston TD Garden is a one-off deal that was made possible because of his nearby film shoot location and that fans shouldn't expect to see The Rock any time soon due to his busy schedule.
The same sentiment was echoed by The Inquisitr when they noted that The Rock's busy schedule may keep him away from competing in the WWE but they've also noted that more details could surface in September which may reveal an impending WWE return for The Rock.
"The Rock and Hulk Hogan are the ultimate question marks. With Rock's movie career and Hogan's health, that might not be situated until later this year. Inside the report, Vince McMahon likes to have the WrestleMania main events planned by SummerSlam. Of course, anything can change, but more information should become available by September," wrote The Inquisitr.
