The past couple weeks has been a boon for Grand Theft Auto 5 fans. After a year of almost complete silence, Rockstar has started slowly releasing more details about the highly-anticipated video game, including a release date. On top of that, yesterday, on the eve of the U.S. presidential election, Rockstar gave us a date for the second trailer: November 14.
"The highly anticipated 2nd trailer for Grand Theft Auto V debuts worldwide next week Wednesday, November 14th. Watch it here at the Rockstar Newswire and at https://www.rockstargames.com/V," wrote Rockstar in a post on Rockstar Newswire.
The short post was accompanied by a brand new piece of artwork showing off a man with a bat slung above his shoulder holding back a vicious-looking dog on a chain leash.
The announcement has gamers in a frenzy, with the article boasting more than 4,000 comments already. The first and only Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer was released last November, and all Rockstar has really given the public is a few screenshots and pieces of artwork.
Pre-orders began worldwide for the game yesterday, November 5. While you can go ahead and pre-order the game through your traditional retailer, if you do so through Rockstar, you can nab yourself a free t-shirt.
Rockstar recently announced a spring 2013 release time frame for Grand Theft Auto 5. In an investor conference call, Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick mentioned that the game would most likely be released after April 2013, indicating a Q2 release.
The December issue of Game Informer, which should be out within a couple weeks, will feature Grand Theft Auto 5 on its cover as well as an in-depth spread on Game Informer's hands-on time with the game at Rockstar's New York City headquarters.
