Apple just recently removed the 'iPod Touch' from their website - a bold move from the company to make it look like Apple is discontinuing the production of the 'iPod Touch.' However, fans and consumers see this as prelude to a surprise.

The 'iPod Touch 5th generation' was released back in October 2012. Sales were affected and the product was considered to be a redundant device. Nobody would buy a device that only plays music when a phone can do that as well as send texts, emails and many more.

Fans believe that the 'iPod' would make a comeback. Apple would not just give up on the humble 'iPod.' This is the device that placed hours of music in people's pockets. The iPod has outclassed and outdated the Walkman and Discman. This gadget was the super hero to save the day when Apple was facing bankruptcy.

Some eager believers think that the 'Ipod Touch 6th Generation' was not released because CEO Timothy Donald "Tim" Cook failed to announce it last year.

Rumour has it the device was held back since its alleged release last year because Apple wants the 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' to have iOS 9 and the A9 processor. It is also rumored to come in two sizes; a 5.5 inch display and 4.7 inch display.

The 6th generation of 'iPods' will come in a variety of colors like red, pink, blue, silver and platinum. It's also going to be water resistant and Siri-compatible, according to Cross Map.

The upcoming 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' will also have a Touch ID sensor for security, a better battery life and an iSight Camera at 8MP with a front-facing camera at 1.5 MP, Vine Report claims.

With a camera built in, users will soon use their iPods to take "selfies," post it on their social media sites and share it to everyone.

Specification on this device indicate that the 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' should come out as more than just another music-playing gadget. In fact, the new 'iPod' has the specification of an iPhone. The 'iPod touch 6th generation' could be a merge between an iPOd and an IPhone.

Apple has done well in shrouding the new 'iPod' in a fog of mystery. There are reports saying that 'iPod Touch 6th Generation' will be released sometime in September with a possible selling price of $250 to $300.
