Election Day has arrived an American citizens have the last opportunity to decide if the US will keep the 44th president of the United States or have the 45th president of the United States.
President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney have been battling for voting across the country, notably 11 swing states which could decide the course of the country.
The 11 swing states that could go for either candidate are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
All 11 swing states are states Obama won in the 2008 presidential election against Arizona Senator John McCain.
Obama won the 2008 presidential election with 365 Electoral College votes to McCain's 173, but the numbers are expected to be narrow ahead once the votes are counted and verified.
According to Real Clear Politics, which averages multiple polling data, Obama leads Romney by 0.7 percent. The average shows Obama with 48.8 percent to Romney's 48.1 percent.
When it comes to the Electoral College map, Real Clear Politics, based on polling figures, project Obama winning with 303 Electoral College votes to Romney's 235 votes.
Will the average come to fruition or are the public opinion polls out of touch?
One way to find out is to vote.
