Dolph Ziggler, known better in real life as Nicholas Theodore Nemeth, could be packing his bags soon if he doesn’t get a big push in the WWE.

Ziggler’s contract is set to expire in a few months and unless things change, the crowd favorite stands to be the next wrestler to bring his act elsewhere.

At the moment, Ziggler is in the middle of a feud with Rusev, with Lana by his side, but it looks like the Show Off is not happy with the current WWE storyline.

A WWE creative writer shared the scenario with MLW Radio, comparing Ziggler’s case similar with a former wrestler John Morrison.

Ironically, Morrison and Ziggler are close friends. If Ziggler does leave, there is a chance that he may end up joining Morrison at Lucha Underground. Morrison wrestles as Johnny Mundo at Lucha Underground.

Ziggler could be looking at better pay should he push through with his plans. Bauer mentioned that Ziggler could look forward to a $500,000 a year salary should he jump ship, something the top talent at Lucha Underground are getting.

Other than Morrison/Mundo, other wrestlers who came from the WWE currently signed at Lucha Underground include Alberto Del Rio, a former WWE heavyweight champion.

If not Lucha Undergound, Ziggler could expect a call from TNA Wrestling as well. TNA is said to be currently monitoring Ziggler’s situation and the Show Off could look forward to a bigger pay day as well should he jump to the rival brand.

Ziggler actually had that push last year when he joined Team Cena at the WWE Survivor Series. It will be recalled that Ziggler was the last man standing for Team Cena but managed to survive with some help from Sting (Steve Borden).

Ziggler has been around with the WWE scene since 2004. He has had prior identities that included being a golfer in-ring persona, Kerwin White, alongside Chavo Guerrero. He was also part of a faction before known as the Spirit Squad (2005-2006),

He officially used the name Dolph Ziggler since debuting on RAW in September 15, 2008 and has since been in several feuds.

Ziggler has had a storied WWE career, having held the Intercontinental Heavyweight title, United States title and the World Heavyweight title throughout his tenure.

Right now, it seems a bit sketchy how Ziggler could be given a push, especially since the WWE seems to be headed towards a Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar storyline.

Unless something comes up, expect the ‘Show Off’ to permanently be switched off if he and the WWE cannot come up with an agreement.
