Sofia Vergara recently voiced out her thoughts on the sex scandal in Cartagena, Colombia which took place a few days ahead of the head-of-states, 6th Summit of the Americas.
Vergara told the Huffpost that no sex scandal involving secret services and Colombian prostitutes could deface what Cartagena or even greater, Colombia, stands for.
"Colombia is Juanes, Shakira, Juan Pablo Montoya, Silvia Techerassi, emeralds, coffee...even the mule, Conchita, of Juan Valdez would kick the you-know-where of the one who dares to mess with our image," she told the media agency.
The Colombian actress who gained fame via a TV Host position in an Hispanic-American television network, Univision, could be considered the Latin face of the moment.
Her appearance in 'Saturday Night Live' and invitation to the 'White House Correspondents' Dinner' in D.C. last weekend, not to mention the invitation to the White House to meet President Obama is a good indicator of her rise to stardom.
Vergara who plays "Gloria Delgado-Pritchett" for the ABC series Modern Family is well known for voicing out her opinions, with not much concern for the consequences at times, but at the same time for her confidence on and off the set.
