Donald Trump announces his Presidential bid but sends out negative message to the Latin community.

Billionaire business man Donald Trump announced that he is running for president on Tuesday at the Trump Plaza in Manhattan. Donald has teased this idea many times, but this time the successful entrepreneur is serious.

NBC News reports that Trump will be the 12th Republican who is running for the White House. After coming down the escalator and waving to his supporters, he officially made his announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen I am officially running for president of the United States and we are going to make our country great again," Trump said.

But not all were happy about his announcement. Known for his straightforward remarks, Trump had a few words to say against the Latin community. The Guardian reports that the businessman was dubbed as an "extremely silly man" after his "claims" that Mexico is sending "rapists" to the United States.

"[Mexico] are sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems to us. They are bringing drugs, and bringing crime, and their rapists," Trump claimed.

America's largest Latino civil rights organizations were obviously not happy with his remarks. Spokeswoman of the National Council of La Raza Lisa Navarrete called Trump's claims "absurd."

"This is a man who has a pathological need for attention. I look at him as a two-year-old who will say a naughty word to get their parents' attention. That's what he's doing," said Navarrete. "Part of the reason why Latinos are so alienated from the Republican party these days is there's a sense that there are people who actually believe [what Trump said]."

She also said she remains hopeful that the more "rational" people in the Republican party stop criticizing the "fastest growing group of voters" in America.

Since the 1980's, Trump has played with the idea of running for the presidential seat. But during his speech, he took specific aim against Mexico. He mentioned that he will build a "great great wall" on the Mexican-American border.

"The US has become a dumping ground for everyone else's problems," Trump said.

This is not the first time that Trump spoke negatively about certain immigrants. It can be noted that he only approved of European-only immigration. Ironically, when he met undocumented immigrants back in 2013, he softened his claim and said that their stories convinced him.
