Many fans are expecting to get more details about "Persona 5" at the upcoming E3 event. Will Atlus finally announce when it will officially come out?
Venture Capital Post said fans are already awaiting Atlus' big announcements. And it is expected that the wait will finally come to an end this June.
Atlus executives Katsura Hashino and Shigenori Soejima earlier told Gematsu that they really worked hard for the new game and that they are happy with how people responded to their trailers and teasers.
"It's been a massive outpouring and we're really happy to see people are into it as much as they are. It's a huge relief to all of us on the team to have things turn out that way. Still, it's also indicative that the anticipation is running really high among people who have enjoyed our work up until now, so it's not without some pressure coming our way, too," Hashino was quoted as saying.
Soejima for his part acknowledged that much is still needed to be done but they are on it. He said they would like to reveal and show more and fans should wait for it.
"I know it's been a long wait, but I hope you'll give us just a little more time. Hopefully once it's out, it'll all be worth it in the end," Hashino further said.
Gamespresso said "Persona 5" would likely come out before the year ends. In our previous report citing Persona Central, we said that the new game would likely arrive in the last quarter of this year October to December. Sega Sammy's latest financial report revealed that four games would be released for the first and second quarter of the 2016 fiscal year (between April and September 2015) -- "Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Deluxe" (scheduled for May 28); "Stella Glow" (scheduled for June 4); "Alien Isolation" (scheduled for June 11); and "Persona 4: Dancing All Night" (scheduled for June 25). Since "Persona 5" was excluded from the list, this may indicate that it would come out on the following quarter.
Hashino's earlier statement revealed that "Persona 5" would be focusing on high school students.
"For this game, we're going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance. In the previous game, we wrote a story that involved having a justice group chase down a bad guy that could easily be feared by just about anyone...This time, it's about a group of high school students that are being 'chased' by unexpected occurrences due to the justice they believe in. We're writing [the story] to convey a thrilling everyday life in the shoes of these characters, that are as large as life, in this juvenile school setting," Hashino said (via Siliconera).
