Season 1 of "iZombie" has just ended and viewers are left wanting more. However, the question now is: will there be a second season especially when the CW series slipped to a low viewership this season?

"iZombie" didn't get much viewers' rating with its season finale especially when it was faced against the NBA's Finals game coverage. According to Headline Planet, the CW show delivered less than 0.6 adults 18-49 rating. In other words, the show only managed to get less than 1.5 million viewers.

However, fans are still raving about "Blaine's World" or what's dubbed as the "game-changing" season finale of the zombie-themed show. Creator of the show, Rob Thomas, managed to combine different spices of mystery, drama and humor which allowed the show to effortlessly creep into viewers' hearts.

Fans of the TV show gripped on the edge of their seats when Liv decided not to give his brother blood in the season one finale. Now she is in a rut having to explain to her mother that she has "tainted zombie blood" running through her veins. She also has to think of an alternative to save Evan's life.

A lot of "iZombie" fans are left wondering what will happen to Liv played by Rose McIver, Clive (Malcolm Goodwin), Major (Robert Buckley), and Ravi (Rahul Kohli), reports Screen Rant.

Though its recent viewership is low, the CW drama has garnered a lot of positive praises from critics that's why the show is picked up for a second season.

However, there is a lingering question whether Blaine, the villain played by David Anders, will be back for the second season.

"It's so funny, people love to hate [Blaine]. He's a character that every writer on staff wants to write for 'cause he makes things delicious. He's been given the complete green light to go for it on the material and chew as much scenery as he wants to, and it's been fun. He certainly gets put through the ringer in the finale, but I'm not sure where people want him to end," Thomas explained.

As for Liv's bestfriend, Thomas said that Peyton will be coming back for the second season. Liv's bestfriend ran away after finding out about her secret life as a zombie.

"Unfortunately, we don't have Aly [Michalka] as a series regular and we had a certain number of episodes we could afford to put her in, and we were at our limit there," Thomas said. At the time we were doing this, she was shooting a pilot and we thought, "There's a chance we'll never get to see her again, if her pilot goes and she's on a show for the next few years." Her show did not go, so what we did with her gives us the opportunity to bring her back."
