Gone are the "Harry Potter" days of wizardly and magic. British actress Emma Watson stars in a new thriller film titled "Regression." The movie is by Oscar-winning director Alejandro Amenabar. Emma stars alongside Ethan Hawke and reuniting with "Harry Potter" co-star David Thewlis.

The movie is set in 1990 in Minnesota. Ethan Hawke stars as detective Bruce Kenner who is working on the case of young Angela played by Emma Watson. She pleads that she was sexually abused by her father John Gray (David Denick).

The trailer starts with the father confessing to the detective and later on the meaning of regression was explained. Emma's character was then shown, sitting in a corner and revealing what she can remember that night. Later on the truth, which was bigger than they imagined, slowly unfolded.

Meanwhile, aside from her acting job, Emma still has a lot of time to do her charitable and social works. The 25-year-old actress took a break from filming "Beauty and the Beast" to be able to attend a charity work.

"Emma Watson visited kids in Great Ormond Street Hospital in support of its children's charity. She took a break from preparing for Beauty and the Beast to pop in and give well wishes a few lucky young fans," reported by Leaky Cauldron.

While other's are would have posted their good works via their social media accounts, Emma has never been one to publicize her acts of kindness. Along with her charity works, she is also an advocate of equality in all genders.

Back in September, Emma kickstarted the #HeForShe campaign. Cosmopolitan described the young actress as a "real feminist" who is using her fame and influence for good causes. When she did her speech about women's right, she did it in a way that's a bit unexpected. She called out all the men.

"Men. I would like to take this opportunity to extend your formal invitation. Gender equality is your issue too," Watson said.

After her #HeForShe campaign and speech went viral, it managed to gather around 1.2 billion social media conversations. Since she was introduced as the face of #HeForShe campaign, Watson instantly became internet's go-to when it comes to feminist topics.
