John Cena is without question the face of the WWE to date. While Wrestlemania 32 is a long way off, it remains to be seen who he could be facing next year.
The names of Hulk Hogan, Sting, the Undertaker and Steve Austin have been tossed in the table. These are legends that the WWE Universe will want to see at the spectacle. All except for Hogan however have been already linked to possible adversaries though Cena does not necessarily have to go up against a WWE Legend to be at the annual event.
Primed to be a legend himself one day, Cena could go up against one of WWE's rising stars, Roman Reigns. Wrestlemania 32 is still a long way off but a Cena vs. Reigns could be one slambang affair the fans will surely love to see. And with time on the side of the WWE, the creative team could come up with a feud angle to set up Cena and Reigns but it may take more than a couple of months to make it something worth waiting for.
Cena and Reigns have somehow crossed paths before. At that time however, Reigns was still part of the Shield. Individually, fans have yet to see both locking horns and to get in each others’ way. And with WWE superstars tied up on separate storylines that could take some time.
At the moment, Cena is in the middle of a feud with Kevin Owens while Reigns is hooked up with Dean Ambrose in a feud against Seth Rollins. Reigns is also a participant in the Money in the Bank challenge which takes place in two weeks time and it remains to be seen if he will come out victorious.
If Reigns does end up winning the Money in the Bank match, such could severely douse water on a Cena vs. Reigns feud for Wrestlemania 32. That is of course speaking ahead but if Reigns does fall short, the WWE creative team may just want to consider it.
