Two of the world's most famous superheroes will go head to head in the upcoming "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie. It's probably the most anticipated movie that comic book fans are watching out for as it will feature two of the greatest superheroes in the big screen.
In a post by Cinemablend, it was mentioned that it would take more than fighting skills to beat of the Kryptonian superhero. While Superman who will be played by Henry Cavill has a couple of super powers, Batman played by Ben Affleck has to rely on his skills and the help of human technology to come up with ways to win against Clark Kent.
However, a new report from IB Times revealed what the Caped Crusader might probably use for his defense. It's a known fact that Superman is vulnerable to Kryptonite, so Batman might use it to his advantage.
"Comic books fans know that Superman is vulnerable to Kryptonite, so fans have long speculated that Batman will use Kryptonite in the forthcoming film. Heroic Hollywood now reveals that Batman will use a Kryptonite-laced spear in the movie," stated the article.
There were some complaints that the trailer for the "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie is too dark. President of Warner Bros. Greg Silverman explained this kind of approach with the movie.
"There is intensity and a seriousness of purpose to some of these characters. The filmmakers who are tackling these properties are making great movies about superheroes; they aren't making superhero movies. And when you are trying to make a good movie, you tackle interesting philosophies and character development. There's also humor, which is an important part," Silverman said.
DC and Marvel has long been compared especially when superhero films are released. Marvel for instance have had a couple of successful films under their name, which includes standalone movies Thor and Iron Man. Fans also get to see them all together in the superhero action film "Avengers."
However, the same kind of success has been challenging for DC. They were, however, very successful with Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Especially since the director decided to make a different approach of the film making the characters a little bit darker and mature.
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will also feature other superhero characters like Wonder Woman and Aquaman. The movie is set for release on March 2016.
