Fans were thrilled after hearing rumors about the possible release of the next "Mass Effect" game. The excitement even went up when more details about the upcoming game have been leaked.
One of the most cited source by reports was a Reddit post detailing about the upcoming game. The user who posted it can no longer be identified but s/he claimed that s/he got it from a survey s/he took.
The post revealed that the upcoming game would take place in Helius Cluster. The post said it is "a cluster of 100s of solar systems in the Andromeda Galaxy...far removed by time and space from Commander Shepard's heroic acts and the final events of the Mass Effect trilogy."
According to the post, the player will be a "pathfinder" who has been tasked to travel to Helius Cluster to make a new home for humans. As expected, the main character would be facing aliens during the trip. He will also be collecting resources and building his ship and strengthening his crew.
Some of you might be questioning whether there would be new weapons. Well, the Reddit post said that through exploring Helius Cluster, players would have the chance to locate and capture "valuable resources and blueprints of long forgotten alien technology" that can be used to produce better weapons and equipment. For instance, one would able to jetpack jump by enhancing thr leg armor. One can also upgrade his cryo-beam or laser cannon to fight against enemies and threats. It also suggested that players would even find more by exploring Helius Cluster deeper.
Aside from the new improved weapons, fans could also expect more meaningful dialogues, also revealed in the Reddit post.
"The next Mass Effect adds deeper control over your conversations through a greater ability to interrupt and change the course of the conversation as it is happening. During certain conversations, you will be able to take action based choices, such as the option to pull out your gun and force someone to open a door instead of convincing them to do it through conversational guile. Action based choices give you more options for how you approach dialogue with characters in the game and can lead to more extreme outcomes on the story as it evolves around the decisions you make when interacting with a huge cast of NPC characters," the post revealed.
As regards the game's release, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter predicted that the new "Mass Effect" game installment would come out in the first quarter of 2016, as revealed by a Video Gamer report.
Meanwhile, the International Business Times have reported that some are saying that a "fresh" protagonist would be in the new game.
These speculations, even the ones in the Reddit post, have not yet been confirmed to date.
