WWE Elimination Chamber takes place this coming May 31 and one match that should be interesting to watch will be that between current WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose earned a title shot against his former colleague but rumors have it that the match could be a medium for something different, a new feud which will involve his ally and friend Roman Reigns.

The Inquisitr reported that Reigns is possibly turning heel. However, these rumors are nothing new.

In fact, rumors about Reigns turning heel came out even before Wrestlemania 31 when the Samoan faced off against former WWE champion Brock Lesnar. It was during this time that Seth Rollins cashed in his "Money in the Bank" briefcase, curb-stomping Reigns, and eventually running away as the new WWE heavyweight champion.

It is not clear for now how Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns would eventually end up feuding with each other. It could be a miscalculated distraction on the part of Reigns to help Ambrose steal the title or an apparent heel-turn, which would see Reigns aligning himself with the Authority.

Of the two, the first scenario seems more likely, considering Reigns does not really have a good relationship with Rollins and other members of the Authority such as Kane and the Big Show.

Reigns’ possible heel-turn could be a big help to his career. The WWE Universe did not hide their displeasure when Reigns won this year’s WWE Royal Rumble. And try as they may through various pay-per-views, Reigns is apparently not yet fit to rule the WWE and be recognized as the new face of a WWE champion.

The possible development may very well divert Reigns’ attention for the meantime, as far as feasting his eyes on the WWE title. At the moment, there is still a hanging angle involving Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar, and such is expected to materialize during the WWE SummerSlam.

And from the looks of it, Seth Rollins will retain his title and win against Ambrose.

The angle leaves no room for Reigns or even Ambrose to be in the picture for now, so the WWE creative team may have come up with a new angle to help both stay in the mix of things.

Reigns, dashing and dominating as he may be, needs more work on his character. Despite being Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s cousin, a lot still needs to be done to improve his appeal and reception in the WWE Universe.

Will a heel-turn help out the career of Roman Reigns? This will be determined once WWE Elimination Chamber takes place this May 31st at the Corpus Christi in Texas. It will be aired exclusively on the WWE Network.
