Fans of the RPG game “Elder Scrolls” may not be seeing the sixth installment unveiled at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 from June 16 to 18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Ecumenical News reported that the game developer might unveil “Elder Scrolls 6” in 2016, so there is a bigger possibility that Bethesda will be introducing “Fallout 4” instead in June 2015. For several months, gamers have been looking forward to either “Elder Scrolls 6’ or “Fallout 4” since Bethesda previously announced that it will be launching a role-playing game in the future.

Master Herald revealed that Bethesda will be launching an extension of the multiplayer game “The Elder Scrolls Online”. The extension will be entitled “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” and will be presented on June 9 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With these recent developments in the franchise, it is unlikely that there will be any more news about the sixth installment within the same month.

Master Herald wrote that fans have also been talking about the possible game title of the sixth installment. There are rumors that the game might be named “Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia” or “Elder Scrolls 6: Redguard”. “Redguard” was trademarked by Bethesda in 2011 and renewed it afterwards to keep it active until now. Although the previous pattern of trademarking and launching was not followed by Bethesda this time, a lot of fans believe that it will be the official name of the new game.

Movie Pilot stated that it has been four years since “Elder Scrolls 5: Skrim” was released. “Elder Scrolls 6” could take a few inspirations from the game “The Witcher 3”, which received positive reviews from gamers. Bethesda has to improve on the combat and narrative in its sixth installment. “Elder Scrolls 6” might do better with a voiced protagonist. Furthermore, decision making has to be improved, particularly on how smaller choices affect the characters in the main quest.

WhatCulture also cited a number of rumors on the upcoming game, which may include a new game engine for better texture and world physics. Weapons might focus more on melee types, as well as halberds and spears, which were common in “Skyrim”. The game will most likely cover new grounds in Tamriel, particularly the other provinces which were not visited in previous installments. However, there may also be returns to one or two familiar areas.
