He did it again! Director Bryan Singer again used his Instagram account to tease fans of the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie. In his latest post, he confirmed that Caliban would be in the much-awaited movie.
Here's the proof:
According to Marvel, Caliban is an "albino mutant" who was recruited by Callisto. He has the ability to track mutants. Caliban, named after the "grotesque being" in the play "The Tempest" of William Shakespeare, belongs to Morlocks. Caliban is also known for the aliases Pestilence, Death, and Hellhound.
"Caliban is able to psionically sense the presence of other mutants within a 25 mile radius of himself. Originally, Caliban was able to increase his strength to superhuman levels and absorb fear-generated psionic energy from fear radiated by others, turning it against them when his adrenalin levels rose. Apocalypse's genetic manipulation enhanced his strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes to superhuman levels, and allowed him to use his fear-casting powers at any time. Apocalypse subsequently altered Caliban's powers to allow him to generate a psychoactive virus that attacks from within on the highest planes of the psyche. Having lived for many years underground, Caliban's eyes were sensitive to even the smallest amount of light, but recently that seems to no longer be the case," Marvel detailed.
Previously, Singer also took to Instagram other "X-Men: Apocalypse" related posts and announcements. Remember that he revealed that Professor X, played by James McAvoy, would be bald in the movie.
Singer also used Instagram to reveal new movie characters. It was where the director introduced "Newsroom" actress Olivia Munn as Betsy Braddock, aka Psylocke; Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, and Alexandra Shipp as Storm. Singer also officially announced via another Instagram post the one to play as young Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler -- Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee. Singer also announced on Instagram that Lana Condor would be joining the cast as Jubilee/Jubilation Lee.
Actually, Singer's Instagram account is a good source information of "X-Men: Apocalypse" since it is where he usually updates fans.
Also included in the movie's cast list are Ben Hardy as Angel, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, and Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to hit theaters in May.
